The WaveMind Clinic in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dynamic, experienced licensed clinical child psychologist with expertise in childhood behavior disorders and anxiety to join a fun and passionate team of mental health professionals.

The WaveMind Clinic is a specialty clinic dedicated to serving children and adolescents with a variety of mental health challenges. We specialize in treatment for early-childhood disruptive behavior disorders and anxiety disorders, child/teen OCD, and selective mutism (SM). WaveMind runs a Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) training clinic, as well as a SM training clinic, where annually-rotating externs and post-docs train. In addition to traditional outpatient therapy, WaveMind operates an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for children and teens with severe anxiety and OCD.

We are looking to hire an Associate Director of Early Childhood Behavior and Anxiety, trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and adaptations of PCIT for anxiety, such as selective mutism. The Associate Director would have opportunities to be involved in all of the above-mentioned programming!

Roles & Responsibilities:

·       Supervising and training of externs and post-doctoral trainees

·       Conducting co-therapy with externs and post-doctoral trainees

·       Supporting our administrative team

·       Leading or co-leading group supervision and team meetings

·       Carrying an individual caseload

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or PsyD degree in clinical psychology

• Valid license in the state of CA (or licensed in another state, willing to become licensed in the state of CA)

• Specialization in child clinical psychology

• Certification in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

• Experience treating selective mutism (SM)

Not Required, but Preferred Qualifications:

• PCIT-SM trained

• ERP for child/teen OCD trained

• Interested in research and supporting our administrative team to build and maintain and data collection infrastructure
