Julie Khil, PsyD
Dr. Julie Khil is a post-doctoral fellow specializing in evidence-based practices focused on treating children, adolescents, and teens with anxiety, OCD, selective mutism, and behavioral disorders. Julie has knowledge and experience in using evidence-based treatments that include Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Julie Khil completed her APA doctoral internship at Children's Institute Inc. in Los Angeles, specializing in the early childhood track, providing general and trauma-informed individual and family psychotherapy for children ages 6-18. She provided PCIT treatment for children ages 0-5 experiencing behavioral problems of aggression, tantrums, and non-compliance. Julie also facilitated social skills groups for children and teens diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, social anxiety disorder, and attention deficit disorder. Julie received specialized training from UCLA Semel's OCD Intensive Outpatient Program, providing treatment for children and teens with severe OCD, using Exposure Response Prevention (ERP).
She received her bachelor's degree in psychology and played soccer at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Before completing her PsyD at Alliant International University, Los Angeles (CSPP-LA), Julie worked for City Year, AmeriCorps providing mentorship and academic support for high school students to be on track to graduate. Julie is from Honolulu, Hawaii, and loves going to the beach, playing soccer, tennis, and spending time with family and friends!
