Diana Woodward, MA
Diana Woodward is a PhD student at the University of Southern California (USC) specializing in evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents with anxiety, mood, and behavioral disorders. Diana has experience treating a range of conditions including anxiety (such as social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and separation anxiety), selective mutism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and depression in children and teens. She has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM). Currently, Diana is a therapist at USC’s Psychological Services Clinic, where she provides both individual and group therapy.
Diana received her Bachelor's degree from Yale University, majoring in Humanities and minoring in Education Studies. Before pursuing graduate studies, she worked in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at Massachusetts General Hospital. She earned her Master's degree in Psychology from UCLA prior to beginning her PhD at USC. As a PhD student, her research focuses on CBT for youth with anxiety disorders in community mental health clinics, with a particular emphasis on exposure implementation.
In her spare time, Diana enjoys hiking with her dog, cooking, running, and spending time at the beach!
